  • Illustration de LeModuleDeZeer

Self-taught artist born in the Yvelines district in 1976, Mehdi Cibille aka lemoduledezeer has been working as a graphic designer since 1997. He cuts his teeth in the wastelands and derelict factories of les Hauts-de-Seine where the relics of industry profoundly influenced his work.
At the beginning of the 2000s, he fine-tuned his “module” – black lines forming complex junctions.
A simple hallmark, a spuriously repetitive pattern alluding to cellular development, mayan glyphs or even the version 2.0 of Jean Dubuffet’s hourloupe.
The significance of zeer has become an experimental zone of relative expression.
The module self-generates in a system of infinite repetition, grasps its independence and installs itself where the surface accommodates it, volatile, fluid, abstract and fun.
One of the biggest projects of the Zeer module, start game over is a game of noughts-and-crosses where the modules form crosses or circles that have taken up residence in all the nooks and crannies of Paris, a soluce game without a winner, the impossible solution hinting at dysfunction, another key concept of a work that propels itself like a computer virus.
