To mark the 2025 European Heritage Days, Molitor is opening its doors for you to (re)discover one of the capital's most emblematic Art Deco venues. Over the course of a weekend, immerse yourself in the fascinating history of this legendary establishment in the 16th arrondissement, with its iconic architecture, artistic works and collective memory.
An ode to Art Deco and the history of the pools
Under the theme ‘Architectural Heritage’, Molitor is highlighting the very essence of its soul: its two emblematic pools, jewels of Art Deco, inaugurated in 1929. A witness to Paris on the move, Molitor has stood the test of time, from the elegant bathing of yesteryear to the creative impulses of today, while retaining its avant-garde spirit.
On the programme: two days, two experiences
- Saturday 20 September: Exclusive guided tours :
From 10am to 5pm, join a small group (max 15 people) for a 30-minute guided tour of Molitor's history and architecture. Accompanied by an enthusiastic guide, you'll discover the emblematic features that give the place its charm: stained glass windows by Louis Barillet, typical railings, period portholes, etc.
- Sunday 21 September: Free exploration of the artistic cabins
From 2pm to 6pm, take a free tour of the 70 artistic cabins lining the indoor pool. Each cabin has been transformed by an artist from the four corners of the world (Asia, Africa, America, Europe, the Middle East...), creating a veritable labyrinth of urban, ephemeral and committed frescoes.
